DR Michelle Swann: Stories of Love, Laughter & Legacy
Thank you for visiting my corner of the web. I’m Dr. Michelle Swann, an author, researcher, and university consultant with years of teaching experience at universities in Canada and Switzerland. My experience as a teen mother inspired me to write the Teen Mothers series of books, and my journey as the daughter of a mother who had MS led me to create My Parent Has MS: A Game Plan. My work is rooted in real experiences and shaped by the questions that keep us all awake at night — about family, friendship, resilience, and the quiet ways we find our strength. I continue to explore the connections between storytelling, learning, and lived experience through my writing and consulting work. This space is where I share my books, ideas, and the stories behind the stories. Whether you’re a fellow writer, a curious reader, or simply wandering through, I hope my books help you find inspiration in nature and in the beauty of everyday life. I have written for the Canadian Dictionary of Biography about famous Canadians and have won awards for my fiction and non-fiction writing.

Right now, my main focus is on writing my next novel — a project
that’s been quietly taking shape in my notebooks and research for some time. It’s a story that blends my love of character-driven narratives with themes of resilience and human connection, and I’m excited to see it unfold on the page.

connection — to let readers see themselves reflected in characters’ struggles
and triumphs, and to remind us all that even in silence or difficulty, we are
